[edit] Channel Rules
[edit] Etiquette
- Yes, you can ask a question, don't ask first.
- Do not ask your question in any language other than English. You are likely to be kicked if you do.
- Anyone with an '@' in front of their name is a channel operator. Be polite to them.
- You will be instantly kicked if you say the same thing three times in a row, and banned if you do it again. So don't.
- READ THE TOPIC.
- Read the topic again.
[edit] Other Rules
- Don't ask for voice, you won't get it.

[edit] Connecting
[edit] Webchat
Webchat is very easy to use. Simply go to http://www.dark-ro.net/chat.php and fill in the details. Optionally you can use http://chat.dairc.net
[edit] Using an IRC Client
In regards to setting up your IRC client, this is for you to learn how to do. All I'll do is suggest that you use mIRC if you're on windows, as it's the only Windows client that works nicely. (Though, chatzilla does also work a bit) If you're on Linux or such (Yes, you can play dRO on Linux, use wine) get irssi! Anyway, point your client at irc.dairc.net and join the channel #dark-ro.
[edit] History
I have no idea of the history of this chat. I assume Swoosh thought it'd be a good idea and did it.
[edit] Channel Modes
I thought I should put this in, so as not to confuse people too much.
[edit] Symbols
People can have symbols infront of their names. This is what they mean:
- ~ This means that the person owns the channel. In this case, Mwa / Chu.
- & 'Protected'. This means important person, such as channel bot or GM. Loki is an example of this.
- @ Operator. People with an @ can kick, ban, mute and such. Be polite.
- % Half-Operator. Advanced helper. Has the same privileges as an operator.
- + Voice. Helper / Idler. Listen to them, they generally know what they're talking about.
[edit] Actual modes
- +b This is a common one. It signifies a ban. What follows after it says what the ban does. The setting of this mode is usually followed by a kick.
- +m If you don't have a +, you can no longer speak. People with a ~, &, @ or % all automatically have a hidden +.
- +v, +h, +o, +a and +q These give you the symbols +, %, @, & and ~ in that order.
