[edit] Why do I need to Level?
It is the main thing in DarkRO to become stronger. You need to level to protect, fight and enjoy the game.
A player can level up his/her Base (255 for Force and 99 for Pie) or Job (100 for force 70 for pie) level. When increasing the Base level, the player gains more Stat points which can be used to improve one of the six attributes described in Stats. As for the Job level, the player gains more skill points which can be used to obtain new skills as explained in Skills.
[edit] What can I get if I Level my character?
You can earn some Stat Points - which are used to strengthen your character which is on the Stats page. Skill Points - to be able to use skills that a character has and to unlock new skills. You also gain additional HP and SP whenever you choose to change into the first job class, second job class or transcendent second job class.
[edit] How do I level?
In order to level, you need to earn Experience Points which can be obtained from slaying monsters all around the world of Rune Midgard. Every monster has a definite Experience rate. So, as your level goes up, the EXP you recieve will reduce. Command /nc and /ns are important when leveling.
Note: /nc - this command is for every job. It is short for command /noctrl. It allows you to attack a monster WITHOUT holding CTRL before attacking.
Note: /ns - this command is for Acolytes. is short for command /noshift. It allows you to use Heal on Undead property monster to damage them WITHOUT holding SHIFT.

[edit] What do I need to enter the world of Dark-ro?
[edit] First make your character
Your character represents YOU in the game. It must be noted that a character once created can't be changed.
Characters are created using a simple method of picking your character and then using a slider to adjust attributes.
Apart from the usual (STR) Strength, (INT) Intelligence, and (DEX) Dexterity, you will find a couple of new ones called (VIT) Vitality and (LUK) Luck. Each attribute controls a different aspect of the character and is fully customizable from the start.But your stats depend on what job you want to make.
[edit] Where will I go after i created my character?
Enter your username and your password. You will be on the screen of character selection. Choose your created character wait until it load the map. On dark-ro you will be warp into a place with a person/NPC on it. Click on him and begin the test. Answer the five questions correctly. After you answer the questions you will be warp into Prontera. It is the main map of the Server. Walk into the buttom until you reached the portal. You will be warped into a place it find a monster to kill such as Poring,Lunatic and Pupa. When you reached your joblvl 10. Go back to Prontera and ask the Job Master. Pick what job you want. Then after,warp to pay_dun01 NOTE: in dark-ro you can instantly warp into a map by adding "@"<map name>. Kill monster such as Skeleton,Zombie and etc. When you think the monster in this map is so easy for you. Try going on harder monster by entering a portal. When you reached joblvl50 go back to prontera and ask again the Job Master to change your job into 2nd class. When your already done find a place where to grind experience by clicking this. Leveling Areas this one can help you. Grind Experience to be able to get baselvl 99 and go back to Job Master request for a transcend class. Grind Experience until you reach the max baselvl 255 and Joblvl 100.
[edit] How can I be strong?
Hunt Drop items, But i prefer you to hunt EDP bottle at Lhz_dun03 or at biolab. I prefer creator if your a newbie. Cause you hit much even w/o good equips on you it depends on your stats. Your stats should have a couple of INT for magical damage, DEX for casting time and VIT for your defense and HP. Hunt EDP bottles as much as you can and sell it. You can earn millions of zeny to buy good items/equips.
Another way on how to be strong is to hunt a Healing Item called Yggdrasil Berry, it is a very Common item and is needed for all PVP and Guild Seiges. To quickly hunt these items go to Prt_maze01 and look for Baphoment Jr. once you have found him, kill him and take the item called Yggdrasil Berry, an easier way to pick up the item is to type @autolootitem yggdrasol_berry this will pick up the item for you when you have killed the monster that drops the item. sell the Berrys at gain alot of zeny and buy your equipments.
Remember that Equipments and Items do not always determines how strong a player is but by his/hers Experince and Skill.

Finding Friends may either be a challange or a gift. the best places to find friends is the main towns. (Prontera, Morocc, Payon). also another way to gain someones trust and friendship is to help them level or hunt items. spending alot of time with a single person can go a long way. Be very polite and helpful to others and you may friend a friend that will stick with you till the end.
