[edit] Introduction
Ninjas are an expanded class meaning there are no other jobs after them. Ninjas are already on its final stage so it means its job level is increased and some bonus stats are added. This class uses many skills and all of there skills are based on your stats and where are you comfortable with. They are difficult to level because there hp, sp and defense are lower than the other jobs. Ninjas just like a magician uses many catalyst meaning you need some items in order to perform there other skills. This class is also the same as the magician if your build is an int type or an assassin and monk type on his str build.
[edit] Novice to Ninja
As a novice, you are required to arrange your starting points, what i mean is your first stats. Int, dex and agi which are set to 9 are what i recommend first stats because leveling a ninja using his int based skills are easier than his str type.
Your novice job level must be at level 10 in order to change your job into a ninja. Once you are done, warp to amatsu town and proceed at the left side below the castle. You will notice that the place is divided into two roads one is at the right (the first road and where you can see Kafra.) and the other is at the left (the second road). Look for a large house in the middle of the left road (second one). There you will see a male npc name Ninja Master. Talk to him and answer his questions. After you complete his quest, you will be automatically change into a ninja.
Now if you have items then you are very lucky, your work will be easier than a normal newbie player. It is recommended that your starting equips must give your character a high hp and sp. Tao Gunka card placed in a valkyrie armor will do. Ninja can't wear boots so be sure to place a Moonlight Flower card or a Wild Rose card on the shoes. A Raydric card placed in your muffler is better than the other garment based cards because it grants your character a 20% reduction damage from neutral property attacks. About your weapons, any of them can do but most ninjas in there early levels dont use a weapon because they are using there int type skills in leveling and there are no suitable weapon for a ninja who grants a MATK. They only use weapons when they reach the maximum level. If you are only a newbie and has no enough items, i suggest you to use an evil druid card on your armor so that you won't be affected by froze, poison attack and stone curse. You can buy a slotted armor on the mall at the armor npc.
Buy some potions, fly wings, shurikens and kunais which can all be bought from the mall. Those items are needed in order to increase the level of your character. If you afford to hunt a smokie card, then provide yourself with a hide clip or what accessory which your smokie card can be placed. You will use it when your skills shadow jump and other skills which uses hide has been unlock on your skill window.
[edit] Early Level
This level includes from levels 1 to 100. As a level 1 ninja, skills is very important to boost your level. Try to increase your job level at anthell01 and kill some anteggs until your job level is enough to provide you with a starting skills. Max your throw shuriken and kunai skills as your starting skill. Equip your shurikens or kunais and use the first two skills i indicated above to kill more anteggs and familiars. Those two skills dont have a casting time and because of that, you can easily kill a monster by spamming those skills. Try to further increase your level at prt_maze01 also known as the hidden dungeon. On your skills again, select the ninja spirit skill and the skills crimson fire petal, wind blade and spear of ice will immediately shown. Max the crimson fire petal skill first then afterwards try to get the cicada skin shedding skill by increasing the skill level of its required skills. To know what are its required skills, please refer to the ninja skill tree or just read the descriptions of the skills on your skill window. Find the word "REQUIRED FOR" skills etc. while reading there descriptions. Max the cicada skin shedding skill and follow the wind blade and spear of ice. On your stats, just leave first your int to 70 and concentrate on dex. Increase your dex until you achieved the no cast degree. Once your base level has increased to 60 or 70, try to increase your level further at gl_prison or the glast heim underprison. Spam the crimson fire petal skill on the different zombies and other monsters. Stay there until you reach level 100 or 110 but i advice you to stay there until your casting time steps on no cast degree.
[edit] Middle Level
This level includes from levels 100 up to level 200. After your stay at glast heim, try to increase your level at leveling dungeon 02 or at the lvl_dun2 (note that this dungeon are only available at dark-ro server). If you don't know where it is, just go to lighthalzen and find the npc name leveling guide. You will deal against the 1st job monsters at this dungeon (the same monsters in lighthalzen dungeon level 2). Always take note there element. The swordsman type is weak on water, the acolyte and mage are weak both on wind and water, merchant, thief and archer are all weak on fire. At this point, your casting time must be improved what i mean is that your casting time must be more faster than a usual or in the no cast degree. When your dex is enough for you to achieve the no cast degree, then stop your dex and start to boost your int to 255 for a heavy damage. Your skills crimson fire petal, spear of ice, wind blade and cicada skin shedding must be at there max level. Leveling at this place will greatly affected you job level, your job level experience will gradually decrease but your base level experience will increase.
Once you reach level 150 or 180, try to increase your level at the leveling dungeon 3 (lhz_dun3). At this dungeon, you will be dealing with the transcendent job enemies and they are more powerful than the previous ones. Dont ever fight against them when they are near each other. Kill them one by one. Hunt first for the Eremes Guille the assassin cross because you can easily owned them. Avoid fighting against high priest, high wiz and sniper because they can easily owned you. Fighting high priests can also be possible but it takes a lot of time to kill them because of its MDEF. Always bring green potions to cure your silence and poison status. The elements of the monsters at this dungeon is also the same with the element of the 1st jobs which you dealt previously on the leveling dungeon 02. When your situation is very critical, just use hide then shadow jump. Avoid fighting at the lord knights and whitesmiths when your level is not at level 170 or 180 yet or you dont have much vit to support your life. Lord Knights can kill you instantly using his bowling bash while whitemsith can stun you and use mammonite to kill you. If your level is not enough or if you are find hard to level at this dungeon, there is an alternative place for you to level. Try to level your ninja at the abyss dungeons (abyss01-abyss03). Use your AOE (area of effect) skills to kill many monsters and gives you a greater experience. The elements of the monsters at this dungeon are obviously can be seen. There are many different monsters here specially on its level 2 and level 3. Using AOE's spells is more practical. You can stay at this dungeon until your level reaches to level 180 or 200.
[edit] Higher Levels
This level includes from levels 200 up to the max level which is 255. At this current level, you can easily fight with all the monsters in the leveling dungeon 3. Your level is now in 200 it means your much stronger now. You can owned the lord knight, whitesmith, assassin cross, high priest and sniper one by one. Fighting with the high wiz is difficult because you are dealing with her MDEF. Continue to increase your level at this dungeon until you achieved the maximum level. Your skill illusionary shadow which is the same as kyrie eleison of the priest must be already on your skill window. Again please refer to the ninja skill tree on how to let out the illusionary shadow skill. Dont forget to use the cicada skin shedding and illusionary shadow before fighting. Always hide when you are dealing with many monsters or just leave them because even though you are level 200, you can still owned by them.
[edit] Reminders
Leveling a ninja is very tough you need patience and hard work to success. Like the other class, you must use a strategy on how to deal with the monsters in order for you to survive. You can use some of its AOE skills (ice meteor, lightning strike of destruction etc.) to kill many monsters around you. Always think first on what are you doing, always use your brain first, at this point you can easily max your ninja within 2-3 hours. Don't ever involve in PK or pvp while you are leveling. Ninjas cant do much when they are still not in there maximum level even though you can spam them with your skills. Once you are finish leveling your ninja, you can change its stats in to whatever you like. Most ninjas used the final strike in pvp which looks like the asura skill of the champ. Crimson Fire Petal/ Raging Fire Dragon/ Raging Fire Formation = fire, Spear of Ice/ Hidden Water/ Ice Meteor = water and Wind Blade/ Lightning Strike of Destruction/ Kamikaze = wind.
