Paladin Leveling Guide^_^

First in line, when you are a novice level one(1) go directly to anthell, find some anteggs then kill them instantly you will probably in you're level 20's if there are no KSer (Kill Stealer) not bad but KS is not allowed, Then go change your job to swordsman. When you're now a swordsman go back to the anthell again for easy leveling (so don't forget to get the coordinates where the eggs where) then kill some eggs and ants there until you reach level 30 above. Then go to payon cave kill zombies, Familiar, Skeleton for higher experience, you will probably in your level 50's by then. Then go change you Job to Crusader. (by the way don't forget to buy Doppelganger card for fast attack for faster leveling) Go now to payon cave again but now in level two(2), then go to level three(3) until you got the skill Grand Cross.(remember your dexderity can reduce your casting time) After you got Grand Cross go now to orcs_dun for more mob. Cast your Grand Cross there. (get all the items that is necessary like emperiums). After that you will probably in your 90's you can now change you job to PALADIN!. Now you become Paladn go to nif_fild02 kill all monsters there (get all the items that is necessary like bat cage for gargoyle wings). Then when you reached level 150 you can know go to bio laboratory do not forget to buy many white pots and store many again on your storage, because you will be using your Grand Cross on every monsters there. Mostly when they are many. (IMPORTANT: Loot all poison botlles it cost 500k~600k~ each not so sure) Just be patient and you will reach your Goal

TIPS: Gather more monsters as you can before casting Grand Cross for Hp,Sp conservation.

[edit] Pie

The two main Builds that are effective for a person to level their Paladin are Grand Cross (GC) and shield build. Both have advantages and disadvantages and both can be quite effective.

GRAND CROSS: First off, it is illegal to mob in Pie, so please don't take more than four or five monsters at once (this is considered the borderline maximum) But one must understand that Grand cross is a waste of a skill if you're not at LEAST going to kill two things at once. It takes too much hp and sp to maintain. For this reason many people don't like grand cross build. If, however, you can get your hands on reduction gear, such as an Angeling or Ghostring card, then grand cross is very efficient. If you have the choice between angeling and ghostring, a ghost armor is always the better choice, not only because it helps in pvp, but when leveling, you can GC until your health bar goes red and not have to heal spam as you would with Angeling. So in other words, with ghostring card there is less of a chance of you suddenly dying. All Angeling does is negate most of the damage you take from your own grand cross. GC is a powerful skill, but all good things have consequences :P

Paladins are one of the classes that are more gear and card Dependant than other classes (in my opinion). If you wanna have a good Paladin, good gears are required. ESPECIALLY with GC build. Since you're taking so much damage from yourself and the monsters you kill, you need as much help as you can get. If you don't have SOME decent gears you will find that leveling with Grand Cross can be long, annoying, and you may find you hate your Paladin. Please...do not let this happen. You have to love your pally, he will do wonders for you in pvp if you play him correctly.

The standard places for a GC paladin to level are Geffen dungeon, Geffen guild dungeon (if you are lucky enough to have access, glastheim, and Niflheim. If you didn't know, Grand Cross is a holy property, and therefore will not hit holy type monsters like Angeling, and Golden Acidus. If you plan on leveling in abyss dungeon, shield build is better. BUT, your advantage will be that you will do even MORE damage to Dark and Undead type monsters, which is why the maps I listed above are so delicious >:D Some good monsters to kill are Raydrics, Isis, Hylozoist, Loli Ruri, Tamruan (you gotta do the map quest first), Wraiths...If you are a lower level, or can't handle these, try Payon Dungeon, Miyabi dolls in Amatsu dungeon (you can heal bomb the Firelock soldiers), Requiems in the Sphinx, Munaks/Bongun, zombies, Zipper Bears. Arguably the best spots for you to level if you're too weak for anything else is Bathories and Orc Dungeon.

Another thing is, make sure you at least have level five Heal before trying anything more than one monster, Grand Cross with no heal is counter productive. Contrary to popular thought, it's not always easy to be a GC Paladin. You have to learn how to be a good judge. Meaning, know when to stop and rest, knowing when you're going to die and to teleport out, knowing how much to heal so that no sp is wasted etc. It always takes a while to get used to a new build. If I, for instance, play another GC Paladin who has a different build, I won't know the character that well. Understand that it will take you time to adjust to any build.

The Damage your Grand Cross will deal depends on your INT and your STR. I prefer maxing my INT, but if you want to divide your stats between INT and STR that's for you to decide. To be able to hit ANYTHING, you need DEX, and to be able to take hits, your enemies' as well as your own, you need VIT. There is no one way to build a GC pally. Play around with it a bit and experiment. And for all you Grand Crossers out there, bless the Healer!!!

I don't have time to talk about Shield Build at the moment :P I'll get back to this ASAP.
