[edit] Force

Priest are used in different types of combat and usages. The first, is for pure buffing and support within a clan, party, group, or guild. For support, the character needs both dex, int, and vit. Lastly could be for some agi to evade attacks from invaders or other people, but if you are going for a pure support, the avatages: support your team mates, therefore, winning a battle and they can use your buff skills to do more damage or disadvantage: the risk of being killed, but you must rely greatly on your teamates to protect you. The other kind is the melee battle priest which you only need str, agi, a little int, dex, and some vit. This is considerably fun because not only can you kill people with melee attacks, you can buff yourself a little too. The advantages: the ability to kill others with mostly melee attacks and protecting yourself and disadvantages: there are cards to decrease your damage and your ability to buff is limited.

[edit] Guide 1

[edit] Introduction

Priest are used as support characters. Priest is one of the hardest one to kill when used wisely. They are used in War of Emperium to buff or heal their allies. Also, they are used in hunting Yggdrasil berry from Baphomet Jr. as well as the Poison Bottle from Eremes Guile. This job is important to War of Emperium because of its supporting abilities.

[edit] Novice to Acolyte

Go to anthell01 or anthell02, kill the eggs first then the insects until you have attain level 70~75. For fast leveling, get Doppelganger Card slotted to your +10 mace or rod. When you are getting low experience, change into acolyte class.

[edit] Acolyte to Priest

In this job,Use the heal to kill the Undead monsters. You can also hunt for equipments. If you are only a newbie and has not enough items, I suggest you to use an evil druid card on your armor so that you won't be affected by freeze, poison attack and stone curse. You can buy a slotted armor at the mall at the armor NPC. Once you do this you can go now to gl_cas01 or 02, kill Undead monsters like zombies until you attain level 90~100.

[edit] Priest to High Priest

First get to hunt Yggdrasil berry or Poison Bottles using the skill Magnus Exorcismus. This skill help a lot. In the same time while hunting, you gain experience. First do the quest to get the Laboratory Permit by doing the [Laboratory Quest]. When you have a Laboratory Permit, you can go now inside. Go first to lhz_dun01. When you can survive their attacks, you are ready to go lhz_dun02 and repeat what you do in lhz_dun01. Get flywings when you go inside. In lhz_dun03, first thing to kill are the the Eremes Guile monster because you can get their Poison Bottle until your level is 255. Beware, there are monsters that not affected by holy attack, which are the high priest, Sniper and the Whitesmith. Lord Knights can kill you instantly when they use their bowling bash. Whitemsith can stun you and use Mammonite to kill you. So use Magnus when there are a lot of monster, then use flywings. If you like the leveling dungeon that has no item drop, you can go, but I advise to go to the dungeon with drops so that you can hunt and have money so you have better equipments. In leveling dungeon, you will pay 10m to enter. In lhz_dun03,kill the monster that affected by the Magnus skill until you reach 255. You can use the shortcut key because you can warp.

When you are in the lhz dungeon, Poison Bottles come from Eremes Guile. You can use them to buy equipments through vending .The important thing though to get are flywings and healing items.

[edit] Stats

Your stats will be pure Vit, not a less of Int, minimum Dex casting and have little Str.

Enjoy Leveling.

[edit] Guide 2

[edit] Introduction

Priests are a vital part of a guild or a party. A party tends to last longer in battle with the help of a supporter (Priest) in PvP. And a guild will successfully defend their agits with the aid of a medic (and again...Priest). People say that priests are really useless in PvP and in WoE because they can't really take down other characters. But as our folks say: Prayers can move mountains. What?

In this guide, I will show you how to get your cute novice into a maxed out High Priest in a day, in an unusual method. No need for heal bombs. Or those slow casting Magnus Exorcismus. All you need is a number of MVP cards.

[edit] Stats

In this guide, you will rely mostly on physical melee attacks (Yup! You heard that right!). No heal bombs here. Don't worry, this build is only for effective leveling. Once you've maxed out your base level to 255, you can reset your stats to whatever build you like.

To start off, in the character creation window. Invest your status points in STR, VIT and AGI. Then, while leveling, just focus on those three stats. That way, you will be dealing a large amount of damage on those silly monsters while taking hits.

[edit] Equipment

In leveling this kind of priest, you need the famous "Doppelganger Card" for high 'aspd'(Attack Speed). Then the "Turtle General Card", you'll be needing two of these, for they increase your damage by 20%, thus doubling it will result in a 40% increase in your damage. Then last, but definitely not the least, the "Baphomet Card". This card is useful in mobbing. Which will be most useful while leveling in places with a lot of bad monsters like Orc Dungeon and in the Abyss place. Then compound those cards in any four slotted weapon, that will perfectly fit Priests and Acolytes. Example is a Mace. But a +10 Mace is much better.

These are some OPTIONAL equipments for much more effective leveling. For your armor, compound it with Ghostring Card. This will turn you to ghost property when equipped, reducing Damage inflicted on you. For Garments, just use a Muffler with a Raydric Cards. It gives 20% reduced damage from normal attacks, and they're cheaper than other cards. For Shields, a Buckler with a Golden Thief Bug Card is the best. It gives you immunity to all Magic Attacks, even Healing skills. For your footgear, put a Dark Lord Card, it automatically casts Meteor when receiving Physical Damage. Accessories, Earrings are the best, for additional INT with some cards compounded on them. Phen Card or Berzebub Card will do good while leveling.

[edit] Leveling

Well first off, you start as a Novice. Since you invested your starting stat points on STR, VIT and AGI, you can kill a Poring at your 1st level. Type in [@warp prt_fild01] and look for the pink stuff hopping around called Porings. Once you got one, you'll have the proper base level to become an Acolyte.

Once you become an Acolyte, it's time to equip your Mace with the MVP Cards (Yeah! It's time to whack some monsters!). Go to Payon Cave or just type [@warp pay_dun00]. Kill a couple of Zombies. If you're still not satisfied with the Experience you receive in this map, feel free to warp to the upper levels. Type in [@warp pay_dun01] or [@warp pay_dun02]. You should max your Job Level to Job Level 50, then change your job into a Priest.

As a Priest, there's no difference in your leveling style. Go to the Orc Dungeons or just type in [@warp orc_dun01]. The Baphomet Card is really useful here because you'll encounter a whole gang of Orc Zombies. With the Baphomet Card, it's like you're shooting 5 birds with one stone. You'll be seeing a lot of numbers flying around your monitor! In this dungeon, you should reach Base Level 99 and Job Level 50. Just keep on leveling until you reach about Base Level 115, then change your job to High Priest.

As a High Priest, get some extra levels in Glast Heim Prison [@warp gl_prison] then go to [@warp gl_cas02] until you reach level 150. Then you'll have to go to [@warp abyss_01]... It's a famous leveling spot for those people who are close to maxing out their levels. However, abyss_01 is the first step. In this place you'll get killed a lot because monsters tend to gang up and mob you. When this happens, just warp out of the area and avoid being mobbed. If EXP is getting a bit unsatisfactory for you, just move up a dungeon, move to abyss_02 and try to get to atleast Base Level 180. Then you can move on to the last place of you will be leveling, [@warp abyss_03] kill as many monsters as you can here, especially the Acidus (the gold ones) because at about Level 250 you'll get 5% EXP points for every Gold Acidus you kill.

[edit] Guide 3

[edit] Misc

Thats it! Your at LVL 255 in less than a day(continuous play). You can go to the Reset girl and reset your stats to whatever you like.

There's a trick in getting a decent amount of money using High Priests. It's the harvesting of Yggdrasil Berries. Just autoloot Yggdrasil Berries then hunt down some Baphomet Jr.'s using Magnus Exorcismus. Then sell the berries through the Merchant skill "Vend". In DarkRO, a berry costs half a million per piece. But their prices nowadays are about 650,000z.

Acolyte leveling

Pre-Heal 10

Kill Rockers, healing when necessary...if you don't have enough reds or sp to take them on yet, kill pickies until you can semi-safely start on Rockers. As you near Heal 10, start finding swordies in share range, and support them on Poring Island (South, South, East from Prontera or West, West, North from Payon), healing when necessary.. but do make sure that they know of your sp difficulties. You may also consider healbombing in Payon Cave level 1, killing Skeletons, then Zombies as you near Heal 10.

Post-Heal 10, Pre-Blessing 10

Support swordies or thieves on either Smokies (East, East from Payon), or Elder Willows (East, South from Payon). Don't bother with blessing for now, as at low levels it's just a waste of SP. Once you have Blessing to about level 6, start using that...but make sure you keep enough SP to heal when necessary. If you're taking the solo approach, continue on Payon 1.

You may also try partying up with an archer and head to the new Greatest General map (South, West from Payon). If you do this, both of you will need to bring flywings. Your job will be to keep the Archer blessed and help him find Greatest Generals...but beware of Vagabond Wolf, who spawns occasionally on the map. Also, the Archer needs to have Vulture's Eye maxed, and needs to be some distance away from the Greatest Generals before attacking, so he's out of range of them being able to cast Earth Spike on him.

Post-Blessing 10, Pre-Pneuma

Support a swordie or thief on the map two north of Geffen. You may also try leveling with an Archer on Greatest Generals (see information above regarding this). Partying with a Mage on argiopes may also work, but Petites may pose a problem. Flywings may help, but separating a support from the person he's helping also leads to potential problems. If healbombing, you may consider Payon 2 (watch out for Archer Skeletons here, they can cause problems) or Orc Dungeon.

Once you get to higher levels, you may consider supporting a mage in Clocktower level 2, killing Punks and Clocks. However, with the mage having neither the hp of a wizard nor the Quagmire skill, Ridewords and Mimics pose a serious threat. Things may be easier here if you learn Increase AGI before Pneuma, but even then it's still quite risky, and Pneuma will help out immensely in Toy Factory, which is a much more stable leveling area. In Clocktower, the Mage must be experienced with making use of vertical firewalls, and needs to know how to deal with Ridewords and Mimics (easiest strategy would be to cast a firewall on the opposite side of him as the threat, then run though it, then cast a vertical firewall).

Post-Pneuma to Priest

Once you have Pneuma, you can support a number of classes in Toy Factory level 2. Your primary targets will be Cruisers, as you are nearly invulnerable to them so long as you make proper use of Pneuma. Keep in mind that they do have a short-range skill that is not blocked by pneuma, so if they are targetting someone who's right next to them, this will still hit, doing about 200 dmg. If you can, stay in the lead so they're more likely to target you, and stand back a ways to prevent this from happening. Swordies, Thieves, Archers, and Mages are all good choices for killing them. If you two can handle the damage they deal, Myst Cases are also a viable option, when no Cruisers are nearby. They are cast sensors, so mages can use the usuall vertical firewall then firebolt technique, and with archers, your best option would be to cast holy light or increase agi up (once you start learning it) to get it chasing you, then run in circles as the Archer shoots it.

Clocktower level 2 may also be an option.. see info in the Pre-Pneuma section regarding this. Also, if you are unable to find someone to support, you can go to the Glast Heim Churchyard and healbomb Ghouls, Wraiths, and Evil Druids...finding a mag party (a party which has a Priest casting Magnificat to speed up sp regen rates) will be quite beneficial here for sp regen, as well as for having an easier time finding someone to Resurrect you when you have a bad experience with a Hunter Fly, Mimic, or Dark Lord.
